Through a contact in Love Inc., we were able to get free coffee for the Laughlin River Run. We served from 400 to 500 cups of coffee a day plus free ice water and hot chocolate. We also gave out Hope for the Highway Bibles. That event was very busy with the day starting at 5:30 to make the coffee. We had many opportunities to share the Love of Jesus.

Rich went walking around the camp inviting people to have free coffee and came across some men that were on a mission to find the person they had given a large sum of money to for a motorcycle, but he did not deliver the motorcycle. Rich could see they were troubled about the matter and asked if he could pray about it. The prayer had a very big impact on them because the next day they found that man and he did not have the motorcycle so it was their intent to cause him harm, but they said they couldn’t because they could hear the prayer that was said the night before. They decided it would be best to let the law take care of the matter. One of the men had turned away from the Lord and as a result of the prayer is thinking it might be time to turn back. Sunday we were able to hold a worship service at the camp.

In April we also went to L.A. for a truck show, had an Abate and MMA Seminar and a Confederation of Clubs meeting in Sacramento.

Booths at The Western Festival in Elk Grove

The month of April closed with the Western Festival in Elk Grove which is a big event in this town. We were invited with the Carnival People to a Church service that was held on Thursday the day before the event started. Our eyes were opened to another mission field. This very nice Chapel Truck goes from Carnival to Carnival sharing the Love of Jesus. At the festival the Monte Perlin Stunt Family was invited to perform with the globe which opened the door for J C and Us Ministries to set up a booth. At the booth hundreds of Jesus Loves Me helium balloons, free crafts of leather key rings with Jesus Cares for You on them and Hope for the Highways were given out.

Monte Perlin was invited to the Law Enforcement Obstacle Motorcycle Course Event near where the Western Festival Event was taking place. J C & Us was asked to open the event in prayer which Monte did. Sunday we had the privilege of having a Worship Service at the park for the Western Festival which we held at the Globe. Streams in the Desert led the music, Monte and Sam performed the Cross in the Globe, Monte shared his testimony, Jennie did a skit with her ventriloquist doll Randy and Rich closed the service with a short message. The Lord blessed us with beautiful weather and many opportunities to share.

Saturday started off with a Television show. Monte on top of a car. The crowds loved Monte and Sam signing autographs.
